New CFO Jeff Ross was CFO at Sybase for 5+ yrs where he was part of $6.8 billion acquisition by SAP
Ross joins Velti from Sybase, where he has been Chief Financial Officer since 2007 and was before Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller, until a $6.8 billion acquisition by SAP. He was responsible for developing, communicating, and monitoring all financial aspects of the company's overall strategic plan, including controlling, financial planning and analysis, corporate development, tax, treasury, and investor relations. Prior to his promotion to Chief Financial Officer, Ross was Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller of Sybase.
Someone that has 25 yrs of experience and having handled the closing of $6.8 bln acquisition can easily land job at any large company. Why did he join Velti? He must have seen the great future. Opportunity had to be exciting for him to join a $250 mln company after being a CFO of a multi billion dollar technology company. With time this company will emerge as a leader in the industry and the stock for sure well into double digits, teens and even higher as fiscal discipline will be integral part of growth under this new CFO.
