Just a thought: Merger of MM - VELT, here's why I think it makes sense

    Just a thought

VELT 2012 sales were $270.3 mln, an increase of 43 percent - 2013 expected in the range of $255 mln - $280 mln
MM 2012 sales were $177.7 mln, an increase of 71.4% percent - 2013 expected in the range of $270 mln - $280 mln

MM has $175 mln cash on hand, needs better global footprint which Velti can offer. Merger of MM - VELT makes good sense given together they can be a monster in the mobile branding & advertising market with annual revenues exceeding $550 mln. Both companies need each other right now more than ever. MM has $175 mln cash on hand can offer cash & stock for the acquisition but question is whether VELT management would accept such proposal. If they combine, down the road Google or Facebook might have to pay $1.5 bln to $2 bln to acquire the leader in mobile advertising.
