I agree with you the only question is if FB is taking the revenue from companies like VELT and MM. We all know the mobile ad revenue is there its just a matter if smaller companies can take some portion away from FB
speed.....most people like yourself seem to get confused on how FB, apple, and rest of niche companies are different. Both FB and Apple are close environment platform which means they are limited to those who are log in and surfing the news feed on their FB which then would be exposed to ads based on their interest. Velti and Augme work with fortune 500 companies to develop campaigns that is comprehensive end to end marketing and ads in an open platform and at time of sell which is crucial. Most that are trying FB find the ROI not to be satisfactory and limit their campaigns to just having a presence on FB. IMO, FB model will not be long lived similar to Groupon.
