I believe Apple will sell more ipods then it did last year. but ipod saturation will eventually reach its peak. maybe next year. But even so apple is a screaming buy at 90, at 100, even at 120. It is not about ipod sales this quater. Two of my close friends bought new ibooks within the last 2 months. both of them love them and asked me why I hadnt told them about them before. At 1200 a piece, apple will sell 40% more ibooks this year than it did last year. Look around at any college campus. every day people are trading in their pc's for apples. I just graduated college, and apple has my generation hooked. Look on facebook, and see how many people have photo booth pictures in their profile! This year will be the break out year for apple primeraly because of computer sales. Since thanksgiving every retail store has been a mad house. Look for this to be the strongest quater in history by a wide margin! and next q to be the strongest q1 in history by an even wider margin!
** This year will be the break out year for apple primarily because of computer sales. **
I've been saying all year long, this is the year of the Mac. It's truly amazing how many can't see it coming. What analysts and others are missing, is that with every Mac sold, two new sales are created. All it takes to get a PC user to switch to a Mac, is to see one in action.
Just one sale to me of a Mac led to 7 more sales of Mac's, so you can see how conservative my estimate of 2 new sales for every 1 sold is.
You can use this knowledge to grow your investments as I have or ignore it. I used it to grow my assets by several hundred thousand dollars, and to think only a few years ago those same assets were worth only $60,000.
All the blather posted here since my initial investment in Apple, hasn't hurt me or others who invested in Apple.
iPods account for 40% of Apple's bottom line. One in five Americans own an iPod (19% men, 20% women) with 10% of women still planning to purchase an iPod and 7% of men. Sounds good but the real jewel in the crown is, as you've noticed, Apple's Macintosh sales that continue to grow and are expected to grow a further 30% over 2006 sales in 2007 by conservative estimates.
Yeah sure. IPOD's are all over the stores in saturation and it's very likly AAPL will have a hard time in the phone market which is ultra competitive. This is pure pump artist BS. The stock reflects more pump than reality.
