Apple users are generally ignorant....wtf?
As a tech support person for a number of domains and about 250 users I dread getting calls from the Apples users. They almost universally don't have a clue how there computers work. I have to spend far more time with them doing basic training than with the PC users. WFT?

If you are so smart, how come you don't know the proper spelling for their computer rather then there computer that you used. Must be that Apple computers have better spelling and grammar tools?

I'm presently attending the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics conference on Conference on Applications on Dynamical Systems at Snowbird, UT. Most participants have PhDs or are grad students working on their PhDs. Apple laptops predominate here. I'd say two thirds to three quarters of the laptops at the conference are made by Apple including mine. You believe that these people are ignorant. Apple computers are valued by this community. (Ok, they are not a representative sampling of all users. But the ubergeeks have spoken.)

The only Mac user I've meet that has a clue how to use their computer is a PhD. Mathematics professor. She taught me a few things about the Mac.
Most Mac users think their photos are "inside of iPhoto". They have never activated Finder and have no clue about hierarchical directory structure. Totally pathetic!

Most people don't know how a microwave works they just use it, why should using a PC be any different?

Insecure novice types have always needed a GODHEAD figure like Steve JOBS to tell them right from wrong. The successful capitalist whether they are aware of this fact or not takes advantage of our human failings to make a healthy profit. Ever been to Rome to visit the Vatican....seen how wealthy it is with all that commissioned art and buildings etc.....well Apple and the other leading companies fulfill that need in Modern Man....the chimp in us all wants demands a powerful leader.......
