I have finally had a free week end to try and catch up on the health care overhaul debate and from what I can tell there exists two big lies the Obama Administration and the Democrats are repeating; that if the truth were know would finish off the present form of Health Care Reform being pushed by Democrats.

First let's all agree some changes need to be made in health care insurance and how we make affordable health care available to U. S. citizens.

BIG LIE ONE: The Democrats insist that their 4 bills pending in Congress do not allow the public option of health insurance to pay for illegal alien's health care. There exists at least in the House's Bill on this issue explicit language stating that illegal aliens are not eligible for the public health insurance. However, an additional explicit provision exists in this legislation that prohibits anyone involved in the providing or payment of benifits under the public option from making any inquiry or asking any questions to the patient or making a determination of whether or not that person is an illegal alien. This of course in practice assures that all illegal aliens will get health insurance benefits under this law. What makes it even more damning for the Democrats, the Republicans brought forward an amendment that would fix this problem and it was defeated on a party line vote by the Democrats. What is even more dangerous that apparently most Americans don't even know about this attempted amendment vote because the liberal press is not going to report about it.

BIG LIE TWO. What ever your position is on abortion most people realize that it would be terrible public policy to allow insurance to pay for abortions, unless the Mom's life is in danger and this is the only way to save her life.(we learned in the partial birth abortion debate, according to the AMA, that abortion is practically never the only alternative to save the Mother's life). Well what most people don't know is that if legislation like the present four bills on Health Care Reform are silent on the issue of whether it authorizes abortions to be paid for; then the courts have interpreted such silence as authorizing the payment for such procedure. So when Claire McCaskill stands up and states, like she did yesterday, that the House Bill does not contain any language authorizing the payment for abortions under the public insurance provisions, she is being disingenuos. We know she knows better because again the Republicans tried to bring up an amendment to the Hoouse Bill expressly prohibiting such costs, but again was defeated by the Democrats on a party line vote. Again most Americans will not know this because we now have a press that has its own political agenda and is in the back pocket of the Democrats (GE, which owns NBC, actually received over a billion dollars in low interest loans from the Government)and has not provided coverage of this attempted amendment.

I think if everyone knew that the legislation being pushed by Obama was in reality going to pay for illegal aliens insurance and for abortions then this legislation would die a quick death.
