And weren't some analysts talking about iPads cannibalizing Macs sales? If anything the iPad is having the "iHalo" effect on other Apple products and increasing Mac sales. Another record Mac quarter in front of us.

yes, I just verified. Amazon gives good indicator of Holiday online sales, which for AAPL also good indication of actual sales. ChangeWave also gave that same strong holiday sales...we have not only iPhones this year but also iPads, iPod Touch, as well as the surprise AppleTV and its halo effects on each others!

Looking at the positive news for the holidays. And analysts' checks and proprietary surveys will reveal exciting quarter for Apple. That will be the reason to hike estimated eps for FY11 Q1.
Today analysts consensus is about 5.24 - 5.25.
In the coming months it will increase and I expect before earnings it will rise to about 5.45. As it has done in previous 15 quarters.
TTM eps would be 16.93 (incl FY11 Q1). Apple will trade @ 22 expected P/E multiple.
16.93 x 22 = 370+
Every earnings TTM P/E rises to 22-23 and then Apple exceeds expectations. People take profit. P/E comes down to 20. Then the climb begins again. -
