I can't stand the iMac. I find them so frustrating and infurating to use. The display is flashy and great, and it is packaged in a clean streamline way. However, i hate using the iMac.
My system is a Dell with a comparable processor and comparable monitor (Samsung 32" LCD 1080P) TV.
Total cost = $869.00
iMac starting price is $1,199...
So basically you are giving up a workhorse computer, with superior os and adaptabiltiy for a pre-packaged, streamlined, sleak looking toy called an iMac.
On a side note the iPhone's get an aproval rating as do the iPod's.
iMac gets a fail.
iTunes gets a fail on an unrelated note.
And I have never used a MacBook, but I am sure the HP or Dell counterpart is likely more workable and $200-$300 cheaper.
Apple is perhaps the best marketing company of the 21st century so far.
I have a pc and what you write is so true.
You missed one salient point, however. The fact that two months after you buy your pc it will, on average, take you twenty minutes to boot it up because of all the viruses beseiging it.
I've had a mac (was stolen) and never had such a problem. PCs suck. Once more, within a couple months the pc will invariably slow down so significantly that the "work horse" that once was is no more - and there ain't a thing you can do about it.
Buy mac, buy quality.
If it takes 20 Minutes to boot up because you're a moron.
You should probably quit looking at that gay porn.
Looks like you should have sprung a few extra bucks for a decent spell checker. Does Dell not include one with the cheap models?
Har Har.
I don't have a spell checker installed because I love hearing comments from losers like you that try to project a aura of superiority from pointing out spelling mistakes.
Plus I think it is important that we learn to spell words without the assistance of machines.
It is a computer with bubble-wrap software. And ultimately a money pit.
