yes agree.....but i have not seen the media mess the numbers so badly.....the calls should be interesting......From quick look nothing to get excited about with Google or MSFT.....besides missing and stocks up after hours...go figure ......irrational exuberance
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Google Inc. said Thursday afternoon that its newly acquired Motorola Mobility unit had revenue of $1.25 billion for the second quarter. That represents a drop of 62% from the $3.3 billion in revenues that Motorola reported in last year's second quarter - before it was acquired by Google GOOG +1.86% . The mobile device unit had revenues of $843 million in the second quarter, down sharply from $2.4 billion in the same period last year. The Motorola wireless device business generated an operating loss of $192 million for the second quarter compared to $85 million in the same period last year.
