Yeah, after all, Apple has released one rubbish product after another...every one a marketplace bomb. They sell 1.4 million Apple TVs at 40% margin in the quarter, and Tim Cook dismisses it as a "hobby." MSFT sells 1.3 million Xboxes at 10% profit and dances in the streets - it's the centerpiece of their company.
Unlikely. It's already being built. Foxconn was hiring a whole new workforce in June. The only issue now is ability to meet demand for Christmas. 50 million of anything in a quarter is hard to deliver. You need to get ready to buy it direct from Apple (full price) if you have a shot of getting it for 12/25. I sat on the phone and re-dialed like crazy on iPad launch day last March, and was lucky enough to snag a 64GB wi-fi delivered the next week.
Nothing is changing with how Apple will do product launches. They will do the usual introduction date and it will be a thrill and big media event. I and my family are all going for the IPhone 5, as we have 5 phones, from 4 and 4s. It will be a really cute and awesome phone. Can't wait.
