I have been checking on the shipping times for iPhone 5 for AT&T and Verizon. It's pretty clear that the shipping times have been shortening significantly. I have been taking careful notes and it looks like iphone 5 shipping times have come down at a faster rate than iphone 4s. At the same time, I have been hearing reports of supply issues. This can only mean one thing. iPhone 5 sales are not as strong as people expect. Actually, this isn't too surprising. There isn't anything too revolutionary with the iPhone 5. It has a larger screen and LTE. Android phones already had these capabilities so Apple is just playing catchup. There is nothing with the iPhone 5 that will convert Android owners into iPhone owners. There isn't too much differentiating the iPhone 5 from Samsung Galaxy. Basically, Apple's counting on it's brand name to sell phones. This can last for only so long.
The introduction of the iPad mini will only further erode Apple's brand name. The mini is low end product that is less profitable. It will only help to drive the pricing own at the high end and will cannabilize the high end. The iPhone 5 and the iPad mini are the beginning of the end for Apple. Now is the time to short Apple. Just remember, history will repeat itself. The mobile phone industry is highly competitive and fashionable. Apple is the next Nokia.
LOL. Supply times are not coming down. The demand is infinite and Apple's only problem is that it can't make enough phones to meet demand. Despite all the media BA, iPhone 5 is still the best handset in the market and it's going to help Apple gain (even more) market-share.
I just upgraded from 3G to iPhone 5 and its a HUGE upgrade. iPhone 5 is BLAZING fast and ios 6 has some nice features. Just love it.
