$329 looks perfect price..I would have been disappointed if it was $249, why?
If Ipad mini was $249 then all the regular Ipad customer would have been nearly gone. Why someone would buy something of double price if you can get for the same for half price......
On the other hand $329 is just tempting price against inferior stuff out other for $199....for additional $130 you get superior stuff and an apple device........
I think mini is priced to attract consumers of other-brand tablets while keeping away consumers of regular Ipad from Ipad mini...That's the holy grail......I think people will take a day or two to realize this....

I agree. To buy a Cadillac (apple) for just a little more than a Chevy ( Samson, google, amazon) I think it's a no brainier

$249 would have been too low. But $299 would have been spot on. Its mostly a psychological difference. But a rather big one.

But it needed to move closer to regular Ipad that is why they have to cross $300......I think 329 was very throughtful...I still would not support 299 vs 329.......299 would add more possibility of regular Ipad consumer shifting to mini..that is the last thing they would have wanted.....

Thanks for letting know one thumbs down was from you.....Hey do you remember after missing estimate and lowering guidance last time how it gone down to 568 and within two day it was over 600.......That being said, even we miss estimates this time ( i really doubt that) with better guidance I expect $30 move up on Friday.....Happy holiday season .......

$329 really kills iPod touch. Google Nexus 7 tablet is not inferior. $400 can get 2 Nexus 7 16GB. $250 for Nexus 32GB. Seems like Apple is very afraid of Google now. Also should watch out for Microsoft. Apple needs to innovate to charge a premium price for their products.

Looks like there will be so many appl devices (non PC) within a year that may lead to the death of goog .....Looks like aapl will take down goog and samsung at the same time.....FB will triving soon........"Monopoly" is the word........
