I've never seen so much junk on a board for a lousy 3% move.. the Nas is down more than 1%, so whats the big deal? It's been a heck of a good year for the stock, and earnings are increasing at a HUGE rate, the company is flush with cash, valuation is good and they're going to bring in over $50B in one quarter, the biggest in the history of the company.
The ecosystem is only getting stronger, they have good supply, huge demand and are the best innovators in the world. I'm not sure how anyone gets worked up over a few % points. When a stock runs up as big as AAPL has this year, giving back 15-20% really isn't a big deal. Still up more than 40% on the year. Shoot if it lost another 10% I wouldn't care, +30% for the year works for me. And, given the track record, all that's likely to happen is that next year sets up for another 30+% gain.
Who knows where it goes short term, and honestly, it really doesn't matter, as we've seen time and time again. This is the best company in the world, there's a ton of market share still to get, and you can bet the $2+B in R&D will keep cranking out new stuff that once again, will have more demand than supply.. as we've grown accustomed to..
