China mobile is spending $28 billion on a 4G cellular network by mid 2013. This was in a Chinese newspaper begin october, I found it by googling. It's on caixin dotcom website. Now there has been an interview of Betti Berruto executive of GigOptix that eband will be at the forefront of 4G cellular revolution. GigOptix has the highest power output eband solution on the market Avi said on the CC. It's $8billion per year revenue GigOptix will have with the eband. Avi said it will be commercialized in 2013.China Mobile alone will be a $2billion deal.
GigOptix has 10gigabit/second and faster links in air at 70 to 90Gigahertz over multiple miles, and is much cheaper than laying cable. Leading tier 1 telecom OEM's are now testing samples, and Nokia Siemens Networks and ALcatel Lucent with revenues in the billions are listed as customers on GigOptix website and are the tier 1 leading OEM's.
GIG GigOptix has the most poweful wireless amplifier in the wireless industry and can send lots of smartphone/other mobile signals for many miles in air, the links.. Leading tier 1 telecom OEM's like Alcatel Lucent and Nokia Siemens Networks are sampling the amplifier, and commercialization is planned for 2013, I expect first half 2013, since China Mobile cellular 4G network will be finished mid 2013, they will spend $28 billion on it's 4G cellular network, I expect $2 billion for GigOptix gear alone from China Mobile, not to count AT&T and Verizon. AT&T has stated that it will spend $8billion on it's wireless network next year.
