On option trading account they closed out Weekly 565's at $1.79 on last dip even after I had advised that I was watching and would close out position before market close. After arguing with them for 15 minutes they still refuse to bust the trade, The options are now trading at $5.20. This is the 3rd time they have screwed me and cost me money even when told the position would be closed. Anyone have a good recommendation for an option trading online brokerage where I can move options account, brokerage account, and IRA's?
Here is how to beat them. Trade one set of trades with them and hedge with another broker. Who cares where the profits come from long as they come from the market. I could not care less if I lost every single trade with one broker and made back three times that loss with another broker trading the same option or stock. Wake up dude and play the game the way it was meant to be played.
Etrade is okay about this. They in fact call me at 12 noon or 1 pm and asked if I was watching my position. I told them yes. They have only closed me out once without asking me in 15 years. in that situation too they had called me first. Too bad TD ameritrade, shame on you.
Dude, do you have any clue what you are talking about? Let's say you bought 100 $570 calls and they go ITM @ 12:55pm (EST), sometimes the calls can't be closed in last few minutes as there aren't many buyers who would take risk. It's a mess for brokerage firm to not have enough funds to exercise your 100 calls. Plus, yours is one of 50MIL ITM calls that they are watching. They can't keep track of everybody.
