    The facts on today's action

First, margin requirements are not a fundamental link to the company. That is short term pressure, as is the fiscal cliff. Second, of course component orders will dip next quarter. Does everyone shopping habits dip between the holidays and march? Of course, therefore that is a riDiculous reason to sell. The death cross? Come on folks, the stock faced one in 2008. How did that play out afterwards? I'll tell you how, with a 400 point gain. As for china mobile also getting lumina? Good, that way when they get iPhone, consumers will have a benchmark to compare and realize the iPhone blows that device out of the water. Funny, sales estimates keep going up for the holiday, with better supply. Yet the stock keeps falling, see the disconnect, I do........

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • Fact of the matter is, then is good momemtum for the shorts on Apple, and that is all that Apple is, good for shorting. The best friends of the shorts are the Apple cheerleaders so they can run up the price, just so they can knock the legs back out from under them.

    • Thats the best post I've seen all day. Someone who actually is talking facts. Wish we could have serious discussions here. (oh to dream)

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

      • Yes, it's nice to see facts rather than most of the junevile rubbish you usually see here. China iphone sales starting soon and will help bottom line. P/E still very low for this company. Lots of cash. Bottlenecks in production getting fixed. What happened today was rediculous. Just because some "clearinghouse" upped their margin requirements. So, everyone was that much on margin they had to sell? If you can't afford it, don't gamble and buy on borrowed money. Then once down everyone piles on with any excuse to trash the stock. It was over 594 Monday. What is fundamentally different today? Nothing.

        Sentiment: Buy

      • Not going to lie, the supply issues on iPhone 5 had me worried. Enough to take a little off the table last month. But margin requirements, really? Post holiday orders dipping after the holiday? Shocking! And now supply is solid for the holiday. Let's vet out the clowns, hit 2013 with a fresh bid of investors and post a strong holiday quarter.

      Major ditto.
I also have the theory that money is moving in stocks that announced special div.
Once ex div dates of these stocks has passed money will flow back in apple causing a major pre earnings pop.. Followed by block buster earnings in jan.

      • Never ever to see the light of day at $600 again:

        IMO why:
New unique and friendly Windows8 ecosystem that end users are ready for and will embrace.

Microsoft unlimited deep pockets to fund Windows8 mobility product development now and in future.

Microsoft desire to challenge Apple and WIN!

Apple had its big run, but now only has stale mobility ideas that are not unique.

Carriers tired of being controlled by Apple and fronting huge money while only making small amounts in return.

Far too much pressure from Wall Street to keep meeting or exceeding "expert analyst" expectations as those expectations are "target $800, target $1,200, ect.”

Greed and more greed by attorneys, accountants and consultants to get a piece of the pie before the huge downturn by initiating frivolous litigation, challenging patents or creating other meaningless and greedy expenditures.

        Sentiment: Sell
