US on 1st weekend sold much more...5 million units.
They were definitely expecting more than 2 million for first weekend.-

Totally different lifestyles. Many bikes. No needs for cars. No McMansions. NO $20 movie tickets. More cheaper products, made in China. No extravagant going outs. So yes, they can have a budget to save for nice things.
