He has to be thinking about Sept 2008 when the first TARP discussions were rejected by the (Democratic) Congress and the Dow dropped huge. I suspect that he doesn't want to face that. So I believe there will be some action over the weekend that cheers the market, even if just a promise to meet next week and hammer out a solution.
Won't risk the market over the cliff.... Some kind of deal will be done.... DOW future will be +200 , NASD +50, SP500 +30 on Monday....... The fundamentals for this market is way too strong right now - it's like on VIAGRA!!!!
