They hired folks to redesign the Message Board by screening to ensure that only those who have never purchased a stock or visited a stock message board were hired. They are incapable of understanding the value of links to support facts contained in posts. They eliminated the ignore user function for weeks, and then finally reinstated it only to show "this topic hidden because you ignored this user" a most annoying feature. Then, to provide input, they require your e-mail address and full name. I so hope GOOG or someone sees what a mess they are making and offers a much improved service.
Agree. It was just fine the way it was 4 or 5 months ago. Most posters didn't like the changes at all, but Yahoo ignored what the posters asked for. You're right. Not being able to post a link was a HUGE step backwards.
Not being able to post a link was a huge step backwards, and if you think about it, they eliminated that feature (claiming if was to prevent spam) but actually to discourage users from leaving this site even temporarily.
