If the subisidy goes away this will the best thing for consumers. We would get competetive pricing on phones and cheap service options. There would be no absurd like now that iphone5 costs $167 to make and it's sold for $650 and more.
Won't happen for a couple of years and by the time it does they make an amazing phone with high margins for a price very close to the S3 at that time. Bottom line is that they will own any game that they decide to play.
removing subsidies is the dumbest move ever........ if it's not broken why change it. how stupid are t-mobile? phones are not subsidised. they are paid for by the customer in higher contract fee's. one way or another, we pay for the phone. t-mobile will lose as people always want to pay for a phone on the current drip drip model.
what it will mean is that people will keep phones longer, and make second hand phones worth more.
