Cook Must Be Laughing His Rich #$%$ Off At The Stock Action!
He knows he ultimately controls where the stock price is going. He and Oppenheimer have a lot of latitude under GAAP to show what ever number they want on the 23rd. If they want to show a massive number to change sentiment, they can do it. They have a currency exchange benefit from last quarter that will show up this quarter on top of blow out revenues, market share gains in the U.S. and probable margin expansion. And, if that doesn't do it, they can decide at will to become more promotional. They can come out with press releases every two weeks if they want to. And, don't forget, there is always the possibility of them initiating a huge buy-back, splitting the stock or increasing the dividend. If they the double the dividend it would be yielding 4% right here. Not too shabby.
