Because that makes it sensational. Don't think for a minute that the WSJ reporter isn't having a cocktail somewhere tonight rejoicing over his participation in reducing Apple shareholder value $17B today. And, the fact that his reporting was sloppy and lacking makes no difference to him. He feels important for a day. Then, when Apple reports and blows his report out of the water, he really won't care because he had his 15 minutes of fame.......though I honestly have no idea what his name was.
