After watching my retirement lose $60,000 due to the lies about apple. I've pulled the trigger and sold . I give up on trying to make any logical sense of investing in wall street . I was told to Invest in companies that make money, Companies that have no dept , companies that innovate. I did and I lost what amounts to 10 years of requirement savings. Those around me who were supportive said "don't sell , it will be alright" had no idea how bad it was. I watched as my base investment of 250 shares ave share price of $510 go down, down , down. A logical investor couldn't find a more solid company than apple to invest in. Yet, it doesnt matter. Why worry about balance sheet. You want a company with tons of dept, no money in the bank, right? When those who write for Yahoo Finance decide they're going to tank a stock, they do it. There has been nothing but negative press on one of the world prime companies. It has been all bad bad bad. Nothing is right, yet one couldn't find a better place to invested. I have lost faith in investing. The crooks have won. There is no where to put your money if you cant trust investing in a company like apple.
ddenardis you say "I have lost faith in investing. The crooks have won. There is no where to put your money if you cant trust investing in a company like apple."....bet you you are staking out your next market move as we speak....c'mon you know I'm right.... but spread you risk next time and oh yeah learn basic math - it will help.
This market is totally illogical now. Wall Street fraud is the worst its ever been and this I have even heard from a person I greatly respect who is an ex-senior vp at SSB! He has long since gotten away from it as he told us he could no longer stand working in such a corrupt industry. What we are seeing in Apple is a total outright bear attack and no reason for it whatsoever. They are pumping companies with huge p/e multiples and punishing ones that don't meet overzealous analysts' estimates. Good luck to you. I'm sitting on my shares but OMG what a hit I took. I am too embarrassed to even say how much I lost but it is definitely triple digit!
No one makes money except the market makers and a few exceptions. MNajority lose money in the market. I have lost over $120 in 10 year span. Occasionally I make a quick $2k and keeps me playing then I get hit $15~$18.
I feel you man.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
I feel for you man, I have been there before. It is always good to invest in financially sound companies, however, it is also good to look at the technical's. If you did, you would not have bought this stock at 510. I got out in the mid 650's and advise you to also start looking at technicals.
