For all of you who see these sad stories of people losing money by the fists full, always use a stop. I can say this from experience. I've had some losses where I wanted to jump off a building. The second after you push the buy button, decide how much you are willing to lose before you sell and put in a market stop. This will take all of the emotion out of the trade. If you get stopped out and the stock soars past where you sold, so be it. You live another day to try again. A lot of money moved out of this stock but it will come back in. If you rode this down big, the pain is almost over and you are still alive. Nobody will leave this planet with their money. Enjoy life while you have it. Life is not about money. Have a glass of wine and enjoy the weekend.
Thumbs up. I still have to learn to use stop losses. My bad habit of holding fast cost me a lot on different tickers.
On the other hand, sometimes I accept a loss after a long time and sell, only to see an immediate move up.
