I have read a lot of these postings and am amazed that no one seems to have a realistic conversation. All Hype and speculation. As a student of history and also in my senior years it would seem that with all the available topics that could be discussed about aapl future that nobody looks at the obvious. The cash that is available in the company is enough to purchase a dozen or so other techs and if there were a worry regarding the saturation of iphone market someone would see the correlation of cash to outlook. If management felt it was running out of market and had the assets available aapl does...they would at least attempt to buy their next market though capital investment. No such scene on horizon. Ask yourself why. Good luck to all.
Because they are clueless and don't know where to expand so they are hoarding cash like Jobs would want. The fact they can't find a use for the cash should speak volumes about their growth potential.......
For the 1000th time, the cash that Apple has overseas is not a problem. If you can read a balance sheet, you would see that Apple has $15.7B in deferred tax liabilities to repatriate the non US revenue. This is more than enough to do so. The corporate tax rate of 35% and will be offset by tax credits paid to the countries the good were sold in. So, Apple owes the US approximately 10-15% to repatriate the $89B in cash held outside the US. You people are amazing. Do some research before you spew your hyperbole.
i have the answer. Because the stock has been rising 100% per year for 3 years. They didn't need to do anything more for the company or shareholders. Things have changed. Expect larger buybacks and dividends.
