Is being frustrated with management legitimate?

I believe we're dealing with a broken stock as opposed to a broken company. My question is, what is management's responsibility to address this issue, in what is now becoming more than a short term correction? I don't know if a dividend increase, stock split or buy back would help? It might. Is management's job to simply guide the company in the manner they feel is best, with no regard to the movement of the stock? Maybe, I don't know. That's why I'm curious to other's opinions. As a shareholder with a fairly significant number of shares at $499, I'm getting aggravated at the silence from Apple mgt. This is arguably the most profitable company in the world, even on it's worst day.
