Apple U.S. phone share grew from 26 to 34 percent dominating Samsung in U.S.

Apple amazingly sells 1 phone .....Samsung about 5 models. Samsung selling mostly cheap phones...Apple making money on iPhone. Samsung has no ecosystem. Apple 400 million iPhone and iPad users utilizing Apple OS and iTunes. Samsung not an innovator...does not even develop it's own OS. Biggest fans...people who can afford $50 - $100 phone.

    • In December, Samsung held 33%, LG 13%, and Apple 12% share of N. American mobile phone market. Story of Apples "dominance" is regurgitated almost every month as a tool to keep the stock from falling further and thus scaring away institutional investors sitting on billions in lost value. Once the pension funds wake up that it is not smart to put all your money into a basket of apples, things may get even worse.

    • OK, Apple sells 3 models of phones: iPHONE5, 4 and 4S. Samsung sells 80 models of phones worldwide, mostly cheaper lower feature not full smart-phones. But Samsung is getting a good chunk even of the top smartphones with its Galaxy especially since it makes a larger screen version, Apple has yet to come out with. What you mean is its AMAZING that APPLE could get the largest market share in all kinds of Mobile Phones in USA, even though Apple only makes full featured Smartphones.. and Samsung makes many cheaper phones too.
