Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) Executives met with Turkish president to discuss iPad education initiative worth $4.5 billion.
Vice president for education at Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), John Couch and some other executives met with Turkish president Abdullah Gul on Friday to discuss a number of issues, including a possible education program worth $4.5 billion.
The office of the Turkish president released a picture and a short video from the meeting. Among the basic things addressed during the meeting was a tablet initiative by the Turkish government, which will cost $4.5 billion to offer as much as 15 million tablets to schoolchildren in the country.
Many more deals to come
One thing for sure, it is no "deal" if the price is $4.5 billion. The deal part comes in with volume, just like every other commodity in the world. The value comes in at a much lower number. Probably below $3 billiion
