Einhorn had no business investing in a tech name like Apple

Einhorn had no business investing in a tech name like Apple, much less making it his #1 position. I love it when these value/activist guys think they know it all and venture into tech thinking they can apply the same techniques as they would for an "old economy" name. Gee, the stock is cheap so it must be a good investment. Tech names do NOT have hard assets. They typically do not own factories, machinery, or real estate. They live and die by the ever changing product cycle. Miss one and they might never recover. So what happened here is that Einhorn was late in jumping on the Apple bandwagon and late getting off so now he's losing a lot of money on the position and trying to stir the pot. Next time Einhorn should at least get some experts to help him out. Any%2
