Check my message history, I am a Apple Perma Bull but what he said today has me completely at a loss. He may not agree with Einhorn but he is still a 5% shareholder, you do not act like that to a shareholder. Your stock just lost $300 bucks in 3 months, you need to act. I think Apple need to replace Cook.
AAPL doesnt care what you think about Cook. He is elected by the BOD which was confirmed by Jobs and he is not going to go anywhere. I am long too but hate to see the vulture hedge funds smell money and want it at any cost.

Tim Cook put that bozo Einhorn in his place. Again, David Einhorn is projecting Apple's stock performance onto Tim Cook. Look, people had LONGSTANDING positions that they decided to unload. The shareholder base is churning ... as it does when ALL companies start to experience slowing growth. Tim Cook has done the absolute right thing, in that he has maintained razor sharp focus on the company's vision and has not hastily released products or made knee jerk reactions amidst the stock slide.
Give the guy and his visionary team the benefit of the doubt or sell your shares. Really, those are your *only* two choices. Armchair quarterbacking, with virtually no inside information, is so lame. Apple has begun to attack potential goldmine markets like India and Russia, and they'll soon ink their China Mobile deal. Couple that with the imminent release of iTV (or whatever it'll be called) and iRadio, and you'd be foolish to bet against a company printing a NET PROFIT of 800 million to 1 billion dollars PER WEEK. People are just taking the churning of the shareholder base far too passionately. There have been days that it bothered me, but I've learned to separate my emotions from the fantastic job the company is doing of ***making money.***
Cook is not Einhorn's pet monkey, and neither is Apple. That is the message loud and clear. I'm OK with that. Basically, Apple refused to compromise their dedication to product "Quality" over all else.

Only a change in CEO and compensation structure...ie the PPS is at a certain price on a certain date, coupled with NO base salary, would attract an applicant pool that would have a stake and a vision for this company.
LBO/PE guys, BOD meeting has to be a catalyst to make Cook eat his words today.
