Does anyone REALLY care about Apple TV? Sounds like a dead horse to me. IWatch might have some takers - cut little gadget and could actually be helpful, although mthinks samsung or google will get there first.
IF IF IF
IF we all had a way to get hi speed internet at home without the cable TV company
IF Apple buys Neflix, VUDU etc.
IF Apple takes over Time WArner and Comcast
IF All content providers wil play ball with Apple
Then Apple could really take on the new future of TV, which is narrow casting. Get to watch what I want when I want.
All a tall order and a whole lot more than making a TV set !
Apple has made other cute little gadgets like the Ipod and it turned into the Iphone and then the Ipad that is still morphing. Don't think cute little gadgets are the end game. 5000000 Itunes accounts and growing all started from the little IPOD gadget.
Unfortunately, Apple TV will not be enough any more. There is no way it can live up to two+ years of hype, no matter how good it is. I am not a big fan of iWatch (if it is real), but then again, I didn't think the iPad was all that either when it first came out--was seriously wrong about that.
Fan boys want the iTV and will pay any price. Joe six pack will buy Samsung.. Apple needs to do something with content. If we can all cut the cable cord, APPL stock will skyrocket.
Eventually AAPL will produce a device that kicks content providers and console makers in the family jewels.
How long before that comes to market....AAPL's pace is excruciatingly slow.
Better yet is the notion of AAPL becoming a "bank" via iTunes.
Sounds rather ludicrous, however controlling flow of money is a natural outcome of what Jobs had in mind.
Hardware just a tool.
AAPL software integrated into every aspect of your life.
