My peripheral trading system generated following trade signal before close today:
“Exit LONG AAPL to hold CASH at market close on 3/08/2013"
Alert performance so far (since Nov 17th, 2012): + 15.38%. See my previous posts for alert history.
No, I exited Long, and stayed in Cash at last trading day's close. My system didn't call for short. It was just not sure if AAPL would continue going up next trading day. My trading system attempts to predict where the stock goes next trading day, not certain price level the stock will go.
Yes, I have explained to readers on this board many times. My trading system is rule based. It takes in certain market trading data, and outputs the long, short or cash trading decision statistically according to historical trading behavior. This system has been tested many years, and it's performance is relatively stable. check my posting history for details.
The signal was generated before the trade time indicated in the alert statement. The signals can show up (rarely) before regular market open, (rarely) during regular trading hours, or (mostly) before regular market close.
