I know people make these predictions every day but I'm gonna go ahead and call it. After the close today there will be a press release. They will address the guidance and rumors. They will also double dividend and start a 3 year 50 bilion buy back. Stock will open at 455-460 tomorrow with a 465 close.
I must have missed the big announcement. What was it? Are Cook and the BOD really, really, really seriously considering ways to return cash to shareholders? Or are they really, seriously, no kidding looking at new products?
If they have any sense what-so-ever they would announce all that when Samsung starts their song and dance about their new phone. Take their thunder. I am holding till then. I will give apple the benefit of the doubt until then.
I'm with March 18th or the 25th, and more likely the 18th. Apple is going to announce on its terms ---not be pushed to announce earlier than a year. Expect it premarket on Monday, March 18th (just like last year). If it's big, maybe we get a 3% bounce. Unfortunately, that's only 3 points higher than yesterday's close. The hope though is that more value investors start jumping on board for steadier increases --- we need to get out of the death spiral downtrend --- that's a breakout above $453.76. Seems far away right now.
NEED 453.76 to break out of LONGTERM DOWNTREND! Strong div/bb announcement will get us there. Timing is sooooo good to blow thru. We just have to hope that Apple goes strong ... a 10% div increase will drop the stock. Now that Bloomberg set the bar with their "survey", we need a big number.
I wish it was today, but we little guys already know if that were true somebody would know about it and the stock would be going in the opposite direction.
I think Friday will be the announcement and I hope it's after the close, so shorts have the whole weekend to think about their loses!
It's not very hard to see this thing spike by 25 or something one day very soon. Maybe tomorrow or maybe next week. The problem is that every single person on here is going to sell into it including myself. So when we get the up day I'll be selling and then shorting this thing down to 400. Unfortunately that is the reality that Tim Cook has created these last 6 months. He's no Steve Jobs that's for sure.
