This is how it will play out...Trust me.
Apple will never just simply announce anything as far as a dividend point blank. But they will announce that a special "event" will be taking place on such and such date. It will be between that announcement and the event date that you will see panic buying in this stock. That will be a most excellent time.

Plenty of time to cover the short and go long until the event. That's what I love aapl. So predictable.

They are not going to have a special event to announce div or buyback. They most likely will announce at earnings to buffer shortfall and lousy guidance.
