CNBC just aired a segment interviewing Foxconn employees. He said the whole iPhone, iPad assembly lines are almost idle. Workers just sit there killing time and have nothing to do. In the three year he had with Foxconn, he had never seen anything like that.
AAPL will have terrible terrible Q3 earnings (or loss), maybe even Q2 if Tim Cook chooses not to mask the problem and let the sh1t hit the fan.
If they wanted to report on Apple, they sent the reporter to the wrong Foxconn plant. The Shenzhen facilities makes everything but Apple products.
All iphones are made in the Zhengzhou plant.
ipads are made in the Taiyuan plant
macs are made in the Wuhan plant
Please, say anything but that cnbc is a basher, They are reporting what we all say on this board, and it's good that apple hears this. They just don't seem to get it that investors and shareholders want and need confirmation, yet they just sit around and say nothing. Not cnbc's fault, just appels.
Foxconn is the only planet on earth able to assemble iPad and iPhone. It is really a high tech job. I remember when AAPL made new design two years ago, they don't qualified workers to do the job. At that ime, AAPL management said Foxconn is the only OEM able to do the job.
