Giving them away? At $99 up front plus a monthly charge until paid in full over 2 years is not exactly giving them away. Customers pay the full price of the phone whether they stay with T-Mobile or not over that period. The phone is locked until paid in full. It's a contract with the phone rather than a service contract. The trade-in deal isn't that great either; people could sell their own 4 and 4S for more than the trade-in deal. But T-Mobile was in desperate need to offer the iPhone; they were losing customers every quarter without it. The new merger with MetroPCS will bring other customers the opportunity to purchase iPhones too. Metro doesn't offer them yet.
how is $100 down and $20 extra a month for the phone giving them away? For a Total of $580 for a phone 8months old? Again how is this a give away? Oh Yeah Then T Mobiles charges for service. Please tell all how many Phones are being sold for $580 ? and are being bought. Doing the research and homework before speaking is really important...just a thought.
