That's still a lot of cash. There are only 8 months left in the year. I think they are holding out on borrowing more hoping that Obama will offer a repatriation of foreign capital deal. It would have been foolhardy to borrow more than you plan to use.
yeah, that goes without saying that cash flow will help... but how much of cash flow from US vs international? their growth is much higher international...that is why there is so much cash sitting outside US... so that is why I was surprised to see relatively small size bond deal compare to what they need over the next few years to execute the repurchase and dividends. It could be that they can tap the market again for another round of bonds.. and no need to borrow too much now and pay interest on it...just borrow as needed for the year... that would be smart.
