Apple is issuing bonds, isn't it basically borrowing, then why is the stock going up. Not picking on apple, its the same story with ibm and microsoft and those companies shares soared over the last year after debt offering.
Can some one wiser tell how does a debt offering be a positive influence on the stock?
"Most" of Apples assets lie "off shore"! by borrowing and "creating debt", such debt is TAX DEDUCTIBLE!!! That's the main reason Apple is borrowing, they have well over 100BILLION$ in reserve, so "only" 16billion$ is an easy way for Apple to pay dividends, etc to shareholders...this is a GOOD IDEA!
