Cook is facing a senate hearing on taxes. Why shouldn't he be talking about taxes?
Apple is a very secretive company. It doesn't not talk about what it is working on until it is ready to go public. Goggle, on the other hand, takes the strategy of throwing everything it can think of at the wall and seeing what sticks. Both approaches obviously work. If you make your investment decisions based upon who blabs to the press the most, though, you are probably not a very astute investor.
Hoping Odummer and that big PAC donation can save his job.
Make AAPL look like they will be creating jobs domestically which would be any part of a tax repatriation holiday.
Odummer lacks the clout to get it done.
In another 3 years with a new Pres it will happen
There shouldn't be any secrets now. Forget the past when Jobs ran the company, when the had no competition. Today they do. Today we know what consumers want. Today we know they are going in droves to Samsung and the Android platform. Cook does not have to keep this a secret. He needs to tell consumers that they will have a larger screen and a cheaper phone for the international markets by date certain so people stop buying the competitors phones. they are completely lost in how to market themselves in a world with competitors. They never had to do this before. They just did what they did and we bought there stuff because no one had anything like it and now they are in a big-bad world facing the big bad wolf and they don't know what to do
