If New Products Imminent, Would Cook Have Increased Div and Buy Back?

Cook increased div and buy back because he knows there are no block buster products on horizon that will reinvigorate growth. Think about it. If these products were near release, then why waste money on div and buy back? This was also done to placate nervous greedy longs like Einhorn. This is another reason why I am not expecting any surprise announcements at WWDC. Beside, the "one more thing" thingy is not Cooks style.

    • You know why you are an idiot calls them? Because, you literally think market is just a guessing game. It is to an extend. You want Apple to call out new Products every month with some rumor every day. Company makes 40 bill a year and will for the next 10 years. Why would he initiate a buyback? Because Apple has Oppenheimer, smartest accountant in US Corporations World. They can buy back their stock at 400, they can buy back 150 mill shares, at 500 they can buyback 120 mill shares and at 600 they can buyback 100 mill shares. At current price, they would save 2 billion annually on dividend. Why would or should Cook care if the stock spikes? He wants repurchases at lower prices which would save the company a lot of money on dividend and shareholder value would increase. Eps would jump to 55. PE would be 8. You want CEO of the company to care about a week's stock spike to sacrifice next 10 years value? Are you freaking nuts?

What a shock you don't see any positive news coming out of WWDC.

    • I expect Mac Pro, MacBook Pro with touch screen, Logic Pro X, possibly a 32GB Ram Mac Mini. None of those are announcement that will move the stock, but what the Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro users are expecting. These are the h/w s/w we want.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy
