aapl could buy this goog 3 times over, and while that will never happen investors should realize who they could aquire with a tenth of that amount! Apple will earn over 156b this year goog in not in the same league.... People almost never look at the numbers do they?
Someone should put you out of your misery. Someone like you posting here like this needs a good knock. Of course you can get up if ALL YOU DO IS THINK ABOUT 156 BILLION. Freak.
I dont reply much to these posts as most are just well, you know. I'm always hopeful to find something intelligent here, but not so often anymore. Anyway I was thinking of the massive data centers that AAPL is building and maybe just maybe there plan is to offer search for free without ads. Wolfram Alfa, Google disrupter. Imagine that. Also as soon as this fingerprint sensor is ready which they own all the patents for they can blow up their passbook or what ever banking system they wish. Having 500 million credit cards of the most affluent purchasers on the planet is pretty powerful. What would you like a gold, plat, titanium, or black AAPLE Card. Anyway for the short term trader public companies never move fast enough, but for the long term investor or the premium seller this will be a great company for many years to come. Remember the ipad sat on a shelf for quite a few years before it was ready. Don't worry they have many things sitting on the shelf. Long and strong.
unlike many posters I have a stake in this stock, and I own their products, and find them to be superior. But before I invest I do a lot of research, and this is not my time with apple. The idea the a company of this size and cash position with a limited product offering is done is foolish. Those comments are designed to move the stock. Your assessment of the credit card market is correct - their is a paradigm shift coming, your device (watch, phone or whatever) will replace the card using NFC. Building the device is very key, so far goog has failed at building hardware.
do you check the numbers? Apple only has $37B here in the US (according to the March 31 data), the rest is in tax free shelters overseas where it may as well be nothing. Google's market cap is $285B, which is still more than what you state Apple has for cash.
All I know is the only way Apple generates money right now is the same way Microsoft in the 90s made their money, by constantly updating their main product and reselling it to the lemmings who need the latest and greatest. The Iwatch will be a dud, and Imusic will put Pandora out of business, but Pandora only had $427M in sales last year.
With Samsung constantly taking market share, Nokia somehow clinging on with Microsofts help and Blackberry, HTC, LG, Motorola, etc all vying for market share, Apple needs something more innovative than the Iphone 6, Ipad 4, or the Iwatch, which is nothing but a gimmick.
Yes I checked the numbers. Apple is an international company they have SIXTY BILLION in cash, globally. It does not need to be here to use it. Market cap is based on valuation and can change on a dime just like Apple's did. 160 Billion is currency....
