Fingerprint sensor will involve links to the device id itself via a encrypted database combination of encrypted device id, fingerprint and security logon protocol.
Excellent stolen device prevention.
Massively greater security, particularly beneficial for financial transactions.
Setup at Apple point of sale.
I like it. Worldwide access security protocol that can be linked to financial institutions so that only the authenticated user can use the device to implement financial transactions on accounts you authorize.
IOS and authentac is a huge edge for AAPL....who would trust one of the free and 20 versions of a buggy Android OS ? Samsung????Really?ethically challenged Samsung? Their Chairman has been sentenced to jail....twice ....and I am going to trust them with my financial data.....Better ask "Who's in your wallet?"
Can you say ENTERPRISE..GOVERNMENTS. I worked in I.T for the Federal Gov. VA hospitals for 25 years and I can tell you the ONLY reason we used BB Phones exclusively was security. IOS is now entering this space and finger print security will only speed the replacement of BB with IOS. Forget Android for These users.
