    RMTI and NXTM

Just curious here. What do you shareholders think of RMTI being acquired by NXTM? What would it take pricewise? I am a NXTM shareholder and have tracked RMTI for over 3 years and think the fit would be good. Not to rain on RMTI's party, but even if they get approval of Calcitrol, they would be entering into a very competitive market with a limited sales force. Joining with NXTM puts the combined co. in a better position to be profitable, grow (NXTM now has a significant footprint in Europe as well as hospitals and the home dialysis market), and would become a more desirable takeover target.

    Serious responses are respectfully requested.

    • Agree marketing/sales is a RMTI's weakness. They couldn't even capitalize on the Fresenius Class I recall in March 2012. Remember all that talk about the Fresenius recall maybe doubling RMTI sales? RMTI's 2012 sales were down 16% from their high point in 2010. First QTR 2013 down 5% from 4th QTR 2012. Sales for the last half of 2012 should have been going thru the roof. For whatever reason RMTI couldn't capitalize.

Now think about this, is the existing RMTI sales/marketing team the one we want going up against real marketing pros with actual experience selling drugs? I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see RMTI winning against real pros. If anything Calcitrol will just cause price reductions in other products. Most likely all Davita will do is use Calcitrol to obtain a price reduction from their current vendors . That way nothing changes in center except better pricing for a product they are already experienced with. Not a bad thing for the providers.

IMHO, no way NXTM will pay anything for RMTI now. Beyond manufacturing concentrate, NXTM has no need for RMTI. An established drug company is the only one who would pay for RMTI at this point, IMHO.
