    Big contract for modeling consequences of CBRN responses

    The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) intends to issue an Request for Proposal (RFP) to support BARDA's Division of Analytic Decision Support (ADS).
    Visual analytics, data informatics, models, and simulation tools help to better inform Federal planners and decision-makers, communicate results to stakeholders, and develop response plans for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) agents, pandemic influenza, and emerging infectious diseases. The five functional areas are as follows
    (1) Operational Support - Provide onsite support and coordination of daily operations for the HHS modeling hub
    (2) Strategic Studies and Analysis - Provide analysis, recommendations, and studies on an ad-hoc basis to support the development of public health response and preparedness efforts for BARDA ADS and the HHS Modeling HUB.
    (3) Public Health and Medical Consequence Modeling - Perform medical and public health consequence modeling for CBRN agents and influenza, including components for unmitigated medical consequences, mitigated consequences, and modeling of conceptual public health responses, including concepts of operation.
    (4) Technology Development and Systems Integration -
    (5) Advanced Applied Research and Development - Research and development of novel analytical, modeling and simulation methods,

    Q&A Has ADS ever awarded a contract similar to any of these lots?
    ADS has awarded similar contracts in the past that were similar to portions/sub-sets of this effort, however nothing coming close to the magnitude of this RFP.
