NYSE vs TSX why - OT???

True, but that revenue is for selling oil. And, the price of oil is like gold - it goes up when the dollar falls (all other factors, such as demand, remaining constant.)

    • I have a friend, a successful investor for over 50 years, who has a large basket of Canroys that he's held for a very long time. Believe it or not, his portfolio of trusts is still in the green.

He prefers the TSX traded Canroys over the NYSE because they have less exposure to the US market, which he felt made stocks more vulnerable to bullish & bearish panics.

I also note that Neil George, who publishes a rather conservative newsletter, has 5 Canroy picks - 4 are TSX traded. All are now on "watch" until he tries to sort through the additional ramifications of conversion on each one & how it would affect Canadian vs US investors.

Why would these 2 rather conservative investors prefer the TSX listed trusts? Any other reason but currency?
