Seeking Alpha Article Positive On PWE

I enjoy reading Value Digger articles and they are very informative on the sector. Being a newbie to this sector his 3 articles on future pipeline expansion were excellent and was just the information I needed. The patient investor will be rewarded in this sector once the infrastructure is completed. This is his comments on PWE.

    3) The income investors can buy Penn West Petroleum (PWE) which is also oil-weighted and produces 161,000 boepd (65% oil and liquids) having exposure to 7 different plays in USA and Canada. Penn West has also 334 MMboe proved reserves (71% oil and liquids) as of December 2012 and the EV is $7.4 billion currently. This gives $46,000/boepd and $22.15/boe of oil-weighted proved reserves. Until the share price rises, Penn West's shareholders can collect a 10% dividend.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • Well SpinOrgy, you never get tired of quoting all the nonsense your read there, and look how right they've been for the last year! LOL The patient investor sure has been rewarded alright. Or is that investor turned INTO a patient? Coz this mess HAS to hurt bad. Then again, unsophisticated investors are easily separated from their money, as the very simple and basic use of a stop loss would protect them. They can't be bothered though, the decision to buy was CORRECT. No matter how far it drops. Nothing like buying in, watching it crash, then having to wait years to get back to breakeven, and much longer when the div is cut, again. The pain, the pain....

      Sentiment: Sell
