OK, I take back what I said. I added some more SLW today and am wondering why DPM.TO did so much better last week than it is today. I guess these things can't go up in every rally. I also like (and own)ASA, which looks like it's taking advantage of its 14% discount today.
<<Any ideas about why SLW did not participate in today's rally?>>
It is in a consolidation following recent gains. This is actually healthy. Even TRE does it. Look up "pennant" or "Flag" patterns on stockcharts.com chart school. The pattern is typically followed by a continuation of the previous rise (as with SLW) or decline (as not with SLW). HL's gain is temporary due to bounceback from the Chavez nonsense in Venezuela. SLW has a much better business model than the pure miners. Note how it rose fairly steadily all summer when silver was doing nothing. Very nice stock.
