<<Nice link, but all Canadian symbols. My broker does not trade on the C exchanges. Can anyone provide a link to a similar list for US stock symbols relating to Silver? TIA>>
The easiest is to go to Yahoo symbol lookup and put in the name of the company. It will give the the Canadian plus the pink sheet (.pk) or bulletin board (.ob).
The trouble with the pink sheets is sometimes there is not a bid or ask available, and so then your broker has to get them for you from Cananda, and sort of have to guess what the exact price will be or put in a limit order. You have to remember that you might not be able to sell them in an instant.
PBP, it might be the dollar's slide which increases costs to mine overseas. I know China's been keeping its exchange rate somewhat pegged, at least for now, but at a cost of inflation in the yuan. So SVM would still face those higher costs. That is one reason I've stuck with the SLW model over the miners.
Nope, not with Silvercorp, at least. Costs are very low. They pay double the normal wage for that region, yet it still costs them little. This is China, where the masses still make little in comparison to most other parts of the world. A little yuan inflation doesn't mean much of anything to Silvercorp.
