Thanks for the response re the currency funds. The Fed is in uncharted waters in terms of controling the money supply. They still control the monetary base, but there is just so much derivative money swimming around the world, and they don't control that. Silver has a lot going for it, with the pressure on the dollar being just one factor. A big one, I'd say, but far from the only one.
I found it interesting that Warren Buffet scaled back his pure currency bet against the dollar in favor of foreign company investing that would move in a similar manner. SLW is company investing that would be helped by a weaker dollar as well as by all the attention silver is garnering these days. If the ETF is approved, silver will continue to get attention as the size of ETF investments are observed to increase.
