    Great week! Greater week coming!

Sorry bud... but.... you don't have a balanced view of US foreign policy of the past 50 years. It's not envy... just sheer, well-earned and deserved, disgust and outrage.

Just read a little of the modern history of Phillipines, Haiti, Indonesia, East Timor, Peru, Iraq, Iran, Taiwan, Chile, Nicaragua, etc... US 'help' has been rightly quantified as: for every $1 aid, $10 death and destruction...

Be proud of the good aspects of the US, but don't ignore the stunning failure and destruction the US has brought on the world via corporate fascism and duplicitous government fraud and/or incompetance.

Oh... and if you are really proud and offended by any of the above, explain the following in patriotic terms: highest per capita fuel consumption in the world, highest obesity rates in the world, a continually shrinking manufacturing base, a science/engineering industry largely based on foreign grad students which have now decided to stay home because the opportunities are far better, one of the largest prison populations in the world (both in absolute and relative terms), a country where 25% of the population has no health care coverage, etc, etc, etc... and regardless of whether you believe Gitmo is a good idea, it is a complete and utter rejection of the founding constitutional principles of the US (as is ANY overlap of church and state).

Boy that was a mouth full of communist propaganda, but I will do you the favor and address each BS issue you stated.

<<highest per capita fuel consumption in the world>>

Well we are the largest industrialized country in the world with the HIGHEST standard of living. People in the poverty level in this country is compared to peoples with the highest standard of living in other countries.
      Enough said!

<<highest obesity rates in the world>>

Hmmmm, they use to measure the starvation rate in countries that are failing, now we have to measure the obesity rate to some how say that we are failing, just another way to try to bring down the USA. I rather have a population dealing with too much food to eat than starving their citizens to death. I will take this one as a major positive, thanks for helping me prove my point.

      <<continually shrinking manufacturing base>>

Yes why is this, maybe the high taxation rate, all the regulations and billions of law suits in this country makes it unattractive for business to stay here. But I have to blame your big government, and all their social programs for this one.

<<one of the largest prison populations in the world (both in absolute and relative terms)>>

Maybe because we actually go after criminals, when other countries legalize drug, prostitution, murder and other violent crimes. Also other governments can't afford a prison system with unemployment in 30% to 50% rate.

<<a country where 25% of the population has no health care coverage>>

Man you are a warped person, you measure a country's successes by how many people are covered by big government healthcare???

Why should the Federal government have to provide your lazy ass healthcare coverage. Go out and buy it yourself.
